Well, here is the Runyan gang as of December 2006. Now there are 3 more additions born in the summer of 2007 so we now number 26! Here's the lowdown on everyone. Okay, I am updating this as of Sept 2, 2008. We now have 14 grandchildren, two more born in 2008 so our number has increased to 28!!
Stacey and Rob Jones live in Gilbert, AZ and have 4 children: Madey, Ethan, Brinley, & Garrett. Rob works at Sun America Mortgage. Stacey is a stay-at-home Mom (the most covenanted occupation of all!).
Heidi and Jerry Coleman live in Gilbert, AZ and have 5 children: Ellie, Emma, Tyson, Jacob, & Cassidy. Jerry is an attorney who is in land development with Josh Simonton. Heidi is a stay-at-home Mom.
Lance is running the Decor Unique store in Mesa, AZ. He is also busy cycling at a Pro Elite status. He has a condo in Gilbert, AZ.
Nate and Lindsey live in Las Vegas where Nate is attending the UNLV Law School. They have 2 children: Rylie and Dayton. Lindsey is a stay-at-home Mom. They have been busy getting settled in and adjusting to a new routine. Now Nate and Lindsey live in Provo, UT. He applied to BYU, Duke, Stanford, and I can't remember the other one, but he got accepted to BYU and Duke and he opted for BYU. So about a week after Lindsey gave birth to their 3rd child, Ty, the packed up and moved to Provo. Nate had a paid internship with this summer in Las Vegas (at a national firm whose name I cannot remember). He finished 2nd in his class at UNLV and was offered a scholarship at UNLV and was chosen to be on Law Review there, but that was not enticing enough for him since Lindsey's dream is to live in Utah near her family. So off they went to Provo. Next Sunday we are going up to Salt Lake City for Ty's blessing. Before and after he was born both of his grandmas came to help out for 5 days each. He was 9 lbs. 6 oz. and is a very hungry little boy!
Todd and Abby live in Ithica, NY where Todd is pursuing a business degree at Cornell. He is contemplating Physical Therapy or Medical school for next year. They have 2 children: Joseph and John. Abby is loving New York and we do, too. It is beautiful there. Now Todd has graduated from Cornell and they are back in Mesa. Todd helped us out at Decor Unique during June and some of July and then he started studying for the MCAT. He is planning to go to medical school in the fall of 2009. He takes the test on Sept. 5 so we are all keeping our fingers crossed to him. Joseph turned 4 on July 4. He is doing really well at his new school and with his therapy for Autism. John is growing so fast and loves to eat. (I think it runs in the family).
Megan is on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She is in Bucharest, Romania loving her mission. She has completed 3 years of college at BYU and will go back to Provo when she returns from her mission in December 2008. We are so excited that we have the exact date she will come home....Dec. 23!! She will be home for about 2 weeks before she goes to BYU to finish her degree in Political Science. She emails us every week and we sent out her emails to about 75 people. If you would like to receive them, just add a comment letting me know and I will add you to the list.
Troy is attending Mountain View High School as a Sophomore. He is currently working on his Eagle Project. We recently acquired a dog named Buddy from Heidi. Troy is enjoying taking him on walks and occasionally lets him sleep in his room. Troy is now attending a charter high school, Pinnacle. He really likes it because his courses are online and he can go at his own rate and he is able to stay longer during the day to finish a course early. He is now a Junior. He has finished his Eagle Project but need a few more merit badges before his gets his award. We found a new home for Buddy the dog, so Troy no longer takes him on walks but we are so happy to have our back yard back to ourselves.
Russ and I are busy working at our 2 Decor Unique stores. We opened a 2nd store a year ago in August 2006. I generally work at the Gilbert store and he and Lance work at the Mesa store. Check out our website at the Decor Unique link at the bottom of the page. Well, that has changed. I generally work at the Mesa store and he works at the Gilbert store. We now have a Decor Unique blog. Check it out at decorunique.blogspot.com.
Well, that's the scoop on the Runyan's. Everyday we have great things happen to all of us. The tender mercies of the Lord are evident in all of our lives and we are grateful for those blessings. This is still true and our gratitude is overflowing. Our most treasured blessings are our 14 grandchildren. I will post pictures of them soon!
Have a great day! And a great week!
